McKinley Elementary School Strings scholars gave an outstanding performance at the 19th Annual ETM-LA Gala last Friday! The talented McKinley Eagles delivered a breathtaking rendition of “Ode to Joy/Lean On Me” by Ludwig Van Beethoven and Bill Withers.

More than 80 CUSD scholars from Emerson, Kelly, King, McNair, Tibby, Washington, and Whaley took part in the “USC Student for a Day” program, thanks to CUSD’s Black Student Achievement Department and University of Southern California (USC).

The Compton Unified School District held its Esports Immersive Showcase on Thursday, December 14 at Davis Middle School. The exciting event featured High School and Middle School Rocket League Esports tournaments, a live Mario Kart Tournament run by CUSDH Esports, plus an Esports panel, and much more.

The Los Angeles Rams and USA Football hosted a free USA Football Blitz event at Whaley Middle School last Friday for students during school and the general public after school.
